Windows 10 has become the go-to OS within three years of its launch. Microsoft had to face considerable backlash for Windows 8.1, but with Windows 10, they are back with the old vibe of the OS that many users resonate with. Windows 10 has three versions – Home, Pro, Pro for Workstations. Windows 10 Pro is designed for professionals and small businesses, but in many ways, it is also like the Home edition. If you are planning to use Windows 10, here are some of the facts worth knowing.
Why consider Windows 10 Pro over Home edition?
Windows 10 Pro has a few advantages over the Home edition, primarily because it has been designed for business needs. It brings in more connectivity and security features that might be required for better data protection and team collaboration. So, you get a few advantageous features like Bitlocker, Assigned Access 8.1, Remote Desktop, Domain Join, Group Policy Management and Direct Access to name a few. Also, it offers access to a Business store for Windows and Enterprise Mode Internet Explorer (EMIE). If you have been looking for Windows edition with better security, the Pro edition should fit the bill for the right reasons.
Buying Windows 10 Pro
Much like any other edition of the OS, you have to get a key to use the full suite of the Pro version. You can get Windows 10 Pro key online, either from 3rd party vendors or from the official website of Microsoft. Note that the keys sold by these other vendors are also genuine, but you are getting a discount simply because they buy these keys in bulk and from resellers, so the costs are lower. To get the key, you need to pay for it, following which you will get an email. You can go to the Settings section of your system to activate Windows 10 Pro.
Things to note
To activate Windows 10 Pro, you need a key that’s for the Pro version only. A key designed for the Home edition will not work for Pro. Each key can be used for one system or computer only, and in that department, you cannot act smart with Microsoft. You need an active internet connection to activate the edition.
Windows 10 Pro is easily the better version of Windows for professional needs, and we recommend that you consider using the full version after activation.
